• Interview with Kimmy West of hisgoldeneyes.com

    ˜ 18 Sep 2008 ˜

One of our favorite Twilight fan sites is HisGoldenEyes.com. Recently, we had the opportunity to chat with Kimmy "Kanye" West, who runs the site. Here's what she had to say:

TwilightShirts: So who are you? And what do you do?

Kimmy "Kanye" West: I'm Kimmy, and I run HisGoldenEyes.com. =]

TS: That’s cool, how’s that going?

Kimmy: It’s really fun. The website has lots of fans, and I have some great people working on it with me. Running a website is the best when you have a lot of people to support you. We have had over 5 million hits on the homepage alone, and that makes me really proud.

TS: Tell me about how you got into Twilight...

Kimmy: I saw the book at a bookstore when I had a gift card back in October, and I had never heard of it before. I basically saw the cover, thought it looked catchy, then read the back of the book and thought it sounded good, so I bought it. I read it really, really fast, and bought New Moon right afterwards, and then I was really, really impatient waiting for Eclipse, which I also loved.

TS: What makes the Twilight series so special?

Kimmy: The story is so different, and the characters are so likable. I never read love stories, and I was happy to find one that was so good.

TS: Who is your favorite character and why?

Kimmy: Edward, because he is such a complicated character and he is the one that makes the story so different. If he wasn't a vampire, the story wouldn't be so great. Also...he is dazzling. =D

TS: What did you do for the Breaking Dawn release?

Kimmy: I went to my local bookstore for the midnight release, and there were around 100 people there. I stayed up all night reading it, and all of the next day too.

TS: How long did it take you to read Breaking Dawn?

Kimmy: Around 3 days, since I had to sleep and do summer homework. ;)

TS: What would you say to Stephenie right now if she was here?

Kimmy: Thanks for creating such a wonderful world! I know that everyone loves you for it, and we all support you in your future books.

TS: And Edward? What would you say to him?

Kimmy: If Edward was here right now, I would probably faint, or mumble something unintelligible. I can't even imagine what that would be like. It would be amazing. Seeing as he is fictional...I would settle for Robert instead. ;)

TS: If you weren't reading Twilight... What would you be reading?

Kimmy: Probably Harry Potter, or A Great and Terrible Beauty.

TS: Finally, which is your favorite shirt from TwilightShirts.com?

Kimmy: Edward Cullen: Breaking Hearts since 1918! It's simply gorgeous.

TS: Thanks for talking with us, Kimmy.

    Kimmy: Thank you!

We have sent Kimmy one of the "Edward Cullen: Breaking Hearts since 1918" shirts. We can't wait until she gets it so she can tell us what she thinks.

Well I read the book over the summer than, I watched the movie and I reread the book again in like a day, and I know that everyone was like I don't like the movie because they left so much out. Like In all movies they leave alot out and its different from the movie. I loved the book and the movie. Have to say best I've ever seen. The first time I read it I fell in love with it ,and I saw the movie when it came out at mid-night was really cool because that was my birthday ,But anyways it was really good and I can't wait to watch the next Movie and fall in love with Edward Cullen's Even More!
